Giving
Someone left you a key.
A WillThis gift comes in two forms: a code, or a key you can hold. If you were given one, this page shows you how to claim it. If you want to give one, it shows you how to give.
I have a gift code
A gift code is a short code in two parts, like XXXX-XXXX. Someone bought a one-time package and gave you the code that comes with it. The code works one time. When you type it in, the package is yours.

Make a free account
If you do not have one yet, sign up free. It takes a minute. No card is asked for.
-
02
Open Billing
Sign in. Open the Billing page. Find the words Redeem a Gift Code.
-
03
Type your code
Type the code just as it was given to you. Tap Redeem. The package is now yours.
Keep your code to yourself until you use it. The first person to type it in gets the package — so that person should be you.
There is no rush. A code does not go stale, and a package you have claimed stays in your account.
I was handed a printed key
A printed key is a card. It has a name, a code that starts with WT, and a square code to scan. It is not a gift code. It points to the words one person has sealed for you.
Scan the square code with your phone. Your page opens at once. No phone? Type app.willthis.com/key/ plus your code into any web browser.
Your page greets you by name. It tells you who sealed words for you, what is on its way, and when each one will land. The key opens nothing by itself. It is a pointer, not a password. It holds no secrets.
To keep those words yours, tap Claim your account on that page. An account is free. From then on, the words wait in your own vault, under your own password.
Were you sent an email that a message has arrived for you? That email holds its own claim link. Tap it, give your name, and set a password. Your free account is ready.
I want to give WillThis
You give with a code. Buy a one-time package in the app, and a gift code is made for you. Give the code to your person. When they type it in, the package is theirs.

01
Open Billing
Sign in to your account — it is free to have one. Plans and packages live on the Billing page.
-
02
Buy a package
Pick the one that fits your person. When you pay, your gift code waits for you under My Gift Codes.
-
03
Give the code
Write it in a card. Say it on a call. Send it in a note. It is theirs the moment they type it in.
Make it a moment
A code in a text works. A key in their hand stays with them. In the Key Studio, design a key for your person and print it free at home. Give it with the code, in an envelope, in person: a key they can hold, for words they will open years from now.
Printed keys are free. Engraved metal keepsake keys are in preparation. They are not part of any plan. When they come, they will be offered on their own.
What you can give
Each package is bought once. There is no monthly bill. Each one adds seals and room to the account of the person who types in the code.
-
Adoption Package $149 once
Words for a child placed for adoption. They can open at 18, or year by year. Twenty seals, and room for voice and photos.
-
Newborn Package $129 once
A first word of welcome, then a birthday message each year to 18. Twenty seals in all, planned from day one.
-
Legacy Gift Kit $99 once
The big set. Twenty-five seals and the most room, for someone starting their story.
-
Milestone Set $79 once
For weddings, graduations, new babies, and last days at work. Fifteen seals, each set for its own day.
-
Future Self Kit $49 once
Letters to the self they will be — at 21, at 30, at 40 and more. Ten seals.
-
Message in a Bottle $29 once
A public time capsule. One message for the world, opened on a day you pick. Five seals.
-
New Year’s Lock 2027 $20.27 once
One video that opens on New Year’s morning, and ten short notes — one each New Year for ten years. Eleven seals.
And the plans
Plans are for your own account — no gift code comes with a plan. Explorer is free. Lock is $9 a month. Legacy is $29 a month. Lifetime is $199 for the first 100, and $499 after that. To give, give a package.
One last thing, and it matters. Each message you sealed while your plan was live goes out on its day, just as you set it. Plans gate what you can make next. They never gate what you have already sent on its way.
Still thinking it over? Questions has the plain answers. Our longevity promise tells how we plan to last. When you are ready, open the app — Billing is where gifts live.
